ISABELLA NIXON
Isabella Nixon (she/her) is a professional dancer and dance educator based in Detroit Michigan. Bella is honored to enter into her third season with Detroit Metropolitan Dance as a company member. During her time with Detroit Metropolitan Dance she has had the privilege to work closely and perform works by Maxine Doyle, and Yoshito Sakuraba. As well as perform works by Christian Denice, Joshua Peugh, and Laurie Eisenhower.
In high school, Bella attended and performed with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Grand Rapids ballet, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. After high school Bella attended The BRIDGE Movement, working with a range of choreographers including Peter Chu, Roger Van der Poel, Jermain Spivey, and Heather Lang.
Isabella is also a passionate dance educator and choreographer dedicated to inspiring confidence, creativity, and artistic growth. She strives to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can develop both their technical skills and love for dance.
