No matter where your journey with Detroit Metropolitan Dance began — through the School, Youth Ensemble, apprentice program, professional company, workshops, intensives, in-school residency, community event or performance— you are forever part of the DMD family.

As a member of our community, you experienced the creativity, discipline, and connection that define DMD. Through dance and artistic expression, generations of students and artists have discovered confidence, built lifelong friendships, and explored their creative potential.

The Alumni Association celebrates those shared experiences while helping ensure that future generations of dancers and artists have access to the same transformative opportunities.

Supporting the BridgEDD Scholarship Fund

Alumni Association memberships directly support DMD’s annual BridgEDD Scholarship Fund, helping remove financial barriers and expand access to meaningful dance education and career development opportunities.

Supporting apprentices as they transition into professional dance careers.

BridgEDD College Prep Program

Helping high school juniors and seniors pursue college, conservatory, and pre-professional training opportunities.

BridgEDD Scholarship Fund

Providing tuition assistance for:

  • DMD intensives and summer programs

  • Supplemental dance training opportunities

ImmersEDD Internship Program

Supporting paid internships for college-aged students in:

  • costume and wardrobe,
